Explaining the current DORA grievance process and potential outcomes, what behaviors and practices can lead to a grievance, how to better protect your practice from client complaints and our own missteps.

About the Speaker:
Kerry M. Broman, LCSW is a DORA Complaint Specialist with Fida Law, advising on regulatory and ethical mental health issues for mental health providers practicing in the State of Colorado. After working as Regulatory Analyst/Paralegal for Robert A. Lees and Associates, for the last 7 years, Kerry is excited to continue serving the mental health provider community in the same capacity in partnership with Fida Law. Kerry M. Broman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice. Kerry has been treating individuals, couples and families in Colorado since 1999. Her practice focuses on reducing family conflict and treating a variety of adolescent issues, including but not limited to academic challenges, depression and anxiety, divorce, family conflict, self-esteem, substance use and suicidality. Kerry has a unique expertise in working with self-harming behaviors and regularly provides education and training to school counselors and other treatment providers to increase their success in identifying and supporting students struggling with self-harm.
Who Can Attend this Event?
This event is free for active CSCSW. Non-members may attend for $45. Current social work students may attend for free after submitting proof of student status (copy of valid student id, current course schedule from registrar, etc).
