"I Learned It By Watching You! - Young Adults & Substance Use Disorders", presentation by Adam Nowicki, MSW, LSW, LAC

Summary:
The presenter will examine common substance use disorders young adults struggle with and various treatment methods. A case example will be utilized to the highlight the concepts.

Objectives:

Learn about common substance use disorder among young adults.
Provide an overview of effective treatments to working with young adults with substance use disorders in practice.
Discuss how social workers can advocate for improved substance use treatment in Colorado.

About Adam:

Adam Nowicki is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the State of Colorado. He has over 15 years of experience as a helper in the field of mental health and substance abuse. Adam has worked with children, teens, adults, and families, helping them to recover and lead fulfilling lives. Originally from Arizona, Adam moved to Colorado in 2011 to escape the heat and be amongst the mountains. He enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 cats, and dog; playing guitar; writing poetry and songs; and staying active.

Salon attendees receive 1.5 CEUs.
