"Teens and Sex: What is Typical, Questionable, and Illegal", presentation by Bethany Raab, LCSW

Presentation Summary/Objectives:
1) Identify and discuss healthy, questionable and illegal sexual behavior in adolescents through lecture and group-discussion/vignettes.
2) Identify the primary typologies of youth with problem sexual behavior.
3) Learn best practices for talking with teens about sexual behavior in various clinical settings.
4) Discuss reporting and evaluation process for youth who sexually act out.

About Bethany:
Bethany Raab is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents and families in Denver, CO. After spending her early career working in residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry and court-ordered outpatient treatment roles, she opened a private practice in 2012. Bethany’s practice focuses on helping teens and families build healthy relationships and overcome challenges in order to live their best lives. Bethany believes that teens and families deserve to experience safety, stability, contentment, belonging and happiness.

Bethany has 12 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. She is an Approved Juvenile Treatment Provider & Evaluator for the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board and also provides clinical supervision to social workers just entering the field.
