The Awards and Scholarships Committee was initiated in 2005. It is charged with developing guidelines for the two sets of awards and one scholarship that will be given annually by CSCSW. CSCSW has for the past several years given awards of two types. One set of awards is given annually to members who have been nominated for recognition of exemplary service to the organization or exemplary clinical work. The other award (the Ina Mae Denham Award) is given each spring to a University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work graduating MSW student who has written a high quality paper on a clinical subject. The Awards and Scholarships Committee is also responsible for the process of awarding the CSCSW $1,000 scholarship every year to a University of Denver MSW student who is beginning the second year of study as a specialist in clinical training.
